There are many volunteer and internship opportunities available for local residents.
We are always looking for volunteers who are interested in being a docent and leading tours a few hours each week or month. If you enjoy talking with people, it can be a lot of fun! We provide all necessary training.
We are starting the Rotary Jailhouse Gardeners in spring of 2013. If you would like to help us maintain the grounds and develop our courtyard, please let us know! (No mowing required -- this is for the flowers and bushes.)
There are also research and marketing opportunities available. If you are interested in history, we need people to help research different historical aspects of the rotary jail and the community. We also appreciate volunteers and interns who like to help us market the Rotary Jail Museum and Tannenbaum Cultural Center.
We also need volunteers to help us staff special events.
We accept interns every year from local colleges, as well. Internships vary according to the student's area of interest, but often include museum activities such as tours, marketing, research, and collection conservation.
