107 W. Spring Street
Crawfordsville, IN 47933
The office is open during Rotary Jail Museum business hours.
The Tannenbaum Cultural Center and the Rotary Jail Museum grounds are available for rental for special occasions. The Rotary Jail is also available to rent for photo shoots. The minimum rental time is two hours.
Please note: the time you reserve for your event should include time for set-up and clean-up. We sometimes schedule events back to back, and we can only guarantee you the time you have actually reserved and paid for. Please make the reservation for the times you actually need. You are responsible for leaving the venue as you found it, so please include time to clean up, put away any tables and chairs used, take out the trash, wipe down tables, etc. Thanks!
You need to rent the facility for the entire time you need, including set-up, any decorating, and clean-up after the event. Example: if renting for three hours, the cost is $100.00. If renting for four hours, the cost is $125.00. The rental fee includes use of the tables and chairs.
Two deposit checks are required to reserve the date: one cleaning deposit check for $100, and a second check for the use fee.
To keep our prices reasonable, we depend on our renters to return the Tannenbaum Center to the condition in which they found it. We have a complete checklist inside the Tannenbaum Center for you to follow. This will ensure you receive your $100 cleaning deposit back.
The Tannenbaum Center has a capacity of 64. Rental includes folding metal chairs and tables. More information about the tables and chairs is below.
$125 per day for 8-12 hours
$50 Federally-recognized 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization Use Fee for 4 hours or less
$25 Tannenbaum Center or Grounds each additional hour
Rental time is for the entire length of time the facility is reserved, including set-up time and clean-up time. Additional time will not be allotted and should not be expected before or after your rental time.
Damage/Cleaning Fee of $100.00: This fee will be refunded within 30 days after the event if there is no damage resulting from rental activity, no cleaning is required by museum staff, and any key provided has been returned. Please make this deposit fee a separate check.
Date Guarantee Deposit of One-Half of Total Rental Fee and Cleaning Deposit: Half of the rental fee, and the cleaning deposit, is due at the time application is made to reserve the date. The deposit is considered partial payment of the use fee. The balance is due no later than the last museum business day prior to the event.
Key Deposit of $100.00: If the event is to begin or end when our facilities are closed, a key may be provided to the renter who may be required to pay a separate key deposit to be refunded when the key is returned. This fee may be waived if the renter has previously used our facilities.
To Reserve Date: Submit a check for half the use fee, a separate check for the $100 cleaning deposit, and if appropriate, a check for the key deposit. (You may pay the entire rental fee at the time you make your reservation if you prefer.) If a temporary hold is placed on a date over the phone, the signed contract and checks must be received within seven days or the hold is released.
Checks should be made out to: MCCF. Deposits should be mailed to MCCF, P.O. Box 771, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
